ABOUT DENISSE

Born and raised in California, Denisse Salinas grew up with a deep appreciation for the plentiful agriculture of her surroundings. She can often be found scouring the local farmer's market for what’s in season- fresh, vibrant produce is always the backbone of her culinary creations.

Denisse graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.S. in Art History and Communication, and developed her culinary knowledge over several years working in restaurants, catering companies and wineries in the Bay Area and Santa Barbara. She later sought a career which would merge her love for food, a proclivity towards a healthy, earth-conscious lifestyle and a passion for entrepreneurship, so she established Le Petit Chef in 2008 to nourish her clients with wholesome, nutritious meals made from organic, ethically sourced ingredients.  

In addition to private chef and catering services, for the past several years Denisse has also freelanced for numerous national brands as a recipe developer, food photographer and food stylist.

PHILOSOPHY

"My mission is to provide healthy yet irresistibly delicious meal options for individuals and families with organic, seasonal ingredients serving as my primary source of inspiration. With each dish I create, I seek to integrate Santa Barbara's local agricultural treasures with various global and cultural influences. Food has the incredible ability to nourish while simultaneously bringing immense pleasure and joy, and I love to share these blessings with my clients."
