Born and raised in California, Chef Denisse Salinas grew up with a deep appreciation for the plentiful agriculture of her surroundings. She can often be found scouring the local farmer's market for what’s in season- fresh, vibrant produce is always the backbone of her culinary creations.
Denisse graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.S. in Art History and Communication, and developed her culinary knowledge over several years working in restaurants, catering companies and wineries from the Bay Area to Santa Barbara. She later sought a career which would merge her love for food, proclivity towards a healthy, earth-conscious lifestyle and passion for entrepreneurship, and in 2008 she established Le Petit Chef to nourish her clients with wholesome, nutritious meals made from organic, ethically-sourced ingredients.
In addition to private chef and catering services, for the past several years Denisse has also freelanced for numerous national brands as a recipe developer, food photographer and food stylist.

With each dish I create, I seek to integrate Santa Barbara's local treasures with various cultural influences.
